Prince Johnson Aroloye one of the earliest and  fewest  icons in the advertising space in Nigeria is dead.
Prince Aroloye of the royal house in Idanre land peacefully bid the world goodbye in the early hours of Tuesday 14 March 2023 at his residence in Lagos. A family source has this to say : ” He didn’t die in his residence at Alade – Idanre but in his Lagos residence.  He wasn’t sick too.”
Aged 87, Prince Aroloye started his working career Ogilvy Benson & Mather OBM that started an aggressive Advertising in  Nigeria. He joined  as a media executive in the early 80s and rose to the Executive Director/ Media Director before his retirement in 1997.
Prince Aroloye a flamboyant personality was a media guru who trained in some ivy professional schools in England.
He was a Fellow of Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria  APCON. He was a thorough bred practitioner of note that nurtured many Advertising gurus in Nigeria today.
Pastor Marcus Akinboni who worked with late Prince Aroloye at OBM who now reside in the United States of America said ” Prince Aroloye was an astute administrator and professional to the core ” humble,  great writer and great leader of men in Nigeria Advertising Industry “
Prince Aroloye was a colleague to Chief Olu Falomo and Chief Jide Adeniyi. He was one of the very old members of Island club to date. He enjoyed privileged membership of Island club till his last days on earth. If he was someone after posting, Prince Aroloye would have been president of the prestigious Island club Lagos. Just as his colleagues Chief Adeniyi and Chief Olu Falomo became President of the club.
Family source told newspot that funeral arrangements would  be announced later.
