The police in Jigawa State have arrested one Alassan Sabo, for allegedly fabricating and selling firearms to hoodlums.

Spokesman of the command, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, confirmed the arrest in a statement issued to Newspot on Monday.

He said operatives attached to the Department of State Services (DSS), Jigawa State Command, while acting on a tip-off, raided a blacksmith workshop at Garin Gabas Market, in Malam Madori LGA.

He said the suspect is strongly believed to have been supplying firearms to hoodlums to carry out their nefarious activities.

DSP Adam explained that three locally fabricated pistols, six finished and semi-finished den guns, one park of twenty-four arrows, and two ATM cards were recovered.
