Plateau primaries: Rep Agah, Assembly Minority Leader, Kwallu win PDP tickets

Member representing Jos North/Bassa Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Musa Agah has clinched the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ticket ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Agah, after a keenly contested election, polled 39 votes to defeat his closest rival, Hon. Aminu Zang, who scored 37 votes.

Declaring the result, the Returning Officer of the Primary election, Mrs Naomi Nanven said, “Musa Agah haven scored the highest votes (39) has been returned winner of the election.”

Nanven advised those who lost to join hands with the winner and ensure that PDP wins the secondary election.

Also, the Minority Leader in the Plateau State House of Assembly, Hon. Peter Gyendeng has won the Barkin Ladi/Riyom Federal Constituency ticket.

Gyendeng scored 20 votes, Hon. Chun John 14 votes, Hon. Sanchos 12 votes, Hon. Peter Lambs 10 votes, Hon. Stephen Pwajok 4 votes, and Engr. Choji 1 vote.

For Shendam/Quaan Pan/Mikang federal Constituency, Hon. Isaac Kwallu, a former chairman of Quaan Pan LGA, has been returned winner.
