Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang will reject a move to Los Angeles FC and is determined to fight for his place at Chelsea.
The former Arsenal caption, who joined the Blues from Barcelona in the summer, has been out of favour at Stamford Bridge this season and was cut from Graham Potter’s Champions League squad last week.
LAFC have offered the 33-year-old a route out of the club, eager to take him on loan for the rest of the season.
Chelsea have held talks with the MLS side over the move but Aubameyang is set to turn them down and does not consider it the right time in his career to head to the US, the Daily Telegraph report.
The Gabon international was unable to join another European side in January having already played for Barcelona and Chelsea this season.
The La Liga leaders are interested in re-signing him in the summer while AC Milan and Atletico Madrid are also keen.
Aubameyang is aware of that interest and according to the report, feels he still has plenty to offer at the top level with the likes of Karim Benzema and Luka Modric still going strong at 35 and 37 respectively.
For now, he is determined to work as hard as possible at Chelsea and force his way back into the manager’s Premier League plans.
‘He has been training well with us this week,’ Potter said ahead of Chelsea’s clash with West Ham United.
‘He is a really good professional, supporting his teammates and while he is here he is doing what he is expected to do which is train well and act well.’
Aubameyang has scored three goals in 18 appearances for the Blues this season.
