The Founder of the Penpushing Media, Prince Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji has enjoined the leadership of Freelance and Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria, (FIBAN), to close ranks with aggrieved members who recently formed a parallel association.

He made the appeal when the newly inaugurated caretaker committee of the Freelance and Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria, (FIBAN),Ogun State Chapter paid a courtesy visit to the corporate headquarters of the media organization in Abeokuta.

The member of Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) emphasized that this became necessary in the interest of the broadcasting industry in the country, hence, the need to bring back those that have left the association.

He appealed to them to address all issues lingering in the association, adding that he knew Freelance and Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria, (FIBAN) as one united family, therefore the caretaker committees have a role to play in bringing every member together.

“I know FIBAN as one united family, but it was regrettably that some people can still pulled out to form another association, notwithstanding the new leadership have a role to play in bringing everybody together under that same umbrella”, Kayode-Adedeji stressed

“I want you to look for a way and solution to the crisis in your association, FIBAN is a household name, so I appeal to you all to find a solution to whatever issues affecting the association. It was FIBAN that made me to enroll at College of Broadcasting, an affiliate of Crescent University, Abeokuta, and I cannot complete story of my journalism career without making reference to FIBAN”, he added

The journalist hinted that aside online publication of Penpushing Media, the organization has also established its online Television, a project he said was the brainchild of education acquired from the College of Broadcasting.

The founder in similar vein, told his guests that Penpushing Media, aside from reportage, ventured into Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), adding that within the five years of its operations, the establishment had touched lives of some individuals in the society.

The caretaker committee secretary of Freelance and Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria, (FIBAN) Comrade Adewale Adekoya in his speech appreciated the veteran journalist for his words of wisdom.

The association scribe commended the Penpushing Media for not limiting efforts on reportage, but also engage in Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR), explaining that the purpose of the visit was to appreciate professionalism of the media organization

“We felt your impact in the society, not only in Ogun State, but in Nigeria at large particularly in your own chosen career. The Penpushing Media is what everyone know that the kind of news you dished out, is usually news that one cannot say it’s full of lies and deceit’,Adekoya emphasised

“I want to let you know that we are solidly behind you, we came to create more enabling environment that we can be able to support what you do, despite, that there’s division, yet FIBAN in Ogun State still one and intact’, he added.

“We felt that we cannot afford to allow the struggle of the great broadcasters of the blessed memories, the likes of late Gbenga Adeboye and Toba Opaleye, to go into oblivion. We felt we cannot just allowed the association to just die that way’.

‘That’s why elders in the association unanimously agreed that in order to continue the journey of FIBAN in Ogun and Nigeria at large, they form a caretaker committee who will be running the affairs of the association to fill up the vacuum that has been created by some members who went to form another association’, he explained

The caretaker committee members on the visit include Comrade Aderoju Adejare(Chairman), Comrade Adewale Adekoya (Secretary), Comrade Omobolanle Asakpa(Treasurer), and Comrade Daud Alapotiowo(Ex-Officio)
