The late Senior Pastor of Freedom Assembly and President, God Will Do It Ministries Rev. Dr. Gomba Fortune Oyor will be laid to rest In Ibadan the Oyo State Capital on Friday September 4.
Sources close to the late Cleric told Patmos Media Line that the Board of Trustees of the Ministry approved the events for the burial which will commence from Wednesday September 2 after a meeting with Oyor Family members.
It was learnt that all the events will be held virtually to avoid obstruction to the Covid-19 social distancing law of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Rev. Dr. Oyor, a popular Minister of the Gospel with specialization in the Deliverance Ministry with headquarters in Ibadan is dead.
He died at University College Ibadan after a protracted illness.
He has taken the Gospel of Deliverance to all nooks and crannies of the world and trained many Christians across the globe.
Dr. Oyor who holds a doctorate degree in Community Development from the University of Ibadan was said to have been rushed to the University College Hospital (UCH) on Friday July 31 a fortnight after he celebrated his 61st birthday with his family.
Newspot gathered that Oyor was discharged after a few days but developed complications for which he had to return to UCH before he gave up the spirit on Friday August 7.
Dr. Oyor who hails from Eleme, Rivers State had been very active as a former National President of the Student Christian Movement (SCM) even unto death.
Born 18th July 1959, he is the Chairman of Freedom Press, Ibadan and an NGO, Jehavah Jireh Organization which caters for the poor. He has about 50 Christian books to his credit.
Speaking to our Reporter, the CEO of Patmos Media Line, Rev. Eniola Olatunji described Rev. Dr. Oyor who trained him in the Deliverance Ministry as a great Teacher and Minister of the Gospel whose humility and simplicity was rare among Church Ministers.
“Dr. Oyor not only a member of the Board of Trustees of the Divine Vessels Assembly which I am the Senior Pastor, I had grace to stand with him at the Altar to minister to thousands of people in several places since I met him in 1994” said Rev. Olatunji.
“He was a great Minister who preached networking of the Gospel Ministers and was very submissive to his local Assembly, Bible Faith Church, Akobo Ibadan while running his ministry and when he was released to start Freedom Assembly.
Dr. Gomba Fortune Oyor is survived by his wife Rev. Mrs. Patience Oyor; three sons including a set of twins, Godspower and Wisdom.
