Paris Saint-Germain have made Neymar available for transfer this summer.

The French champions are celebrating a huge victory in convincing Kylian Mbappe to stay at the club with the forward rejecting a contract with Real Madrid last week having looked certain to join them on a free transfer.

That development is set spark big changes at the club this summer with ESPN reporting PSG are now looking to move in a ‘new direction’ with sporting director Leonardo expected to be replaced by Luis Campos in the coming weeks.

Campos, who worked with Mbappe as he burst onto the scene at Monaco, will look to shift the club’s focus to younger players with 30-year-old Neymar set to fall victim to that change.

The Brazil international, who joined PSG for a world record £220million from Barcelona in 2017, has three years left on his current deal at Parc de Princes.

PSG however are eager to cash in and use the funds to rebuild Mauricio Pochettino’s squad. The club are also eager to shift his huge €35million-a-year salary.

The report names Chelsea as a club who have long-standing interest in Neymar, while Manchester United explored the possibility of signing him back in 2016.

A return to Barcelona have also been reported in the Spanish press, although their priority this summer would now appear to be Robert Lewandowski, who is prepared to leave Bayern Munich this summer.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta meanwhile has said the only way in which Neymar or Lionel Messi can return to the Camp Nou is on a free transfer.
