Oyo traditional ruler, Ologuro joins ancestors

The Ologuro of Igbo-Orita in Ogo-Oluwa local government area, Oyo State, Oba Joshua Oyerinde Beyioku has joined his ancestors.
Newspot gathered that Beyioku died on Sunday.

Our correspondent learnt that Beyioku ascended the throne of his forefathers a few years ago after returning from the northern part of the country.

He succeeded late Oba Amos Alade Oyedokun Olawuyi Durotolu I.

A close member of the traditional ruler, Justina Adamu, confirmed the death of the traditional ruler in a statement obtained by Newspot on Wednesday.

The statement reads, “Announcing the transition to eternal Glory of Kabiyesi HRM, Ologuro of Igbo Orita in Ogo-Oluwa LG of Oyo State, Oba Joshua Oyerinde Beyioku which occurred On Sun 23rd March, 2025.

“Burial programme to be announced later after due rites and official consultations”.
