The Special Adviser to the Osun State Governor on Political Affairs, Mr. Sunday Akere, has advised the state chapter of Peoples Democratic Party to desist from bringing Governor Adegboyega Oyetola into the internal crises in its fold.
Akere was reacting to a statement by the PDP caretaker chairman, Dr Akindele Adekunle, who alleged plans by Oyetola to influence the judiciary in a case regarding the chairmanship of the party instituted by the esthwhile chairman, Soji Adagunodo.
But Akere, in a reaction, said the PDP was afraid of its shadow and told the party not to bring Oyetola into issues concerning it.
He said, “It is quite unfortunate that the PDP is always afraid of its own shadow.
“What has Oyetola or the All Progressives Congress got to do with matters that affect the PDP?
“They should face their internal matter; they should stop bringing the APC into it. They are not interested nor believe in the Rule of Law and we believe in that.”
