The Osun State House of Assembly has passed the Osun State Local Government Areas Creation and Administration Amendment Bill Number 6 into law.
The bill was passed during the plenary after a motion moved by the House Majority Leader, Babajide Kofoworola and seconded by Rotimi Ogunrinade representing Ede North and Egbedore State Constituencies, respectively, on Tuesday.
The Speaker of the Parliament, Adewale Egbedun, in his remark, noted that the bill came at right time.
Egbedun confirmed that the bill would be for better society.
“The bill would be forwarded to Governor Ademola Adeleke for assent,” he disclosed.
Also, the Policy Thrust of Osun State Anti-Corruption Establishment Agency Bill 2023 was presented to the House by Lawrence Adeoti.
Adeoti, while noting that the bill would aid in the investigation of corruption cases, added that the malaise would be reduced in the society.
“The bill, if passed into law, would enable the public to have trust in government and invite investors.
“The bill would encourage boldness and enhance a sense of belonging.”
The House Speaker, Adewale Egbedun, described the bill as laudable and noted that lots of benefits would be achieved with its passage.
“Series of benefits will be attained if passed into law.”
Egbedun confirmed that the bill would enhance the public and society at large.
