This is the same This is the same Chief Sunday Igboho (CSI) that a majority of Yoruba OBAS led by Ooni of Ife met a few days ago… and listened to. He addressed them and they all liked what he had to say, going by the ovation he received. He is not the same man that he was last year or year before. Instead of condemning him, he should be encouraged, advised and guided.
It is an act of ingratitude to call him names and de-market him for his past infractions.
This is Nigeria. We need all hands on the deck for Yoruba to survive. The Hausa are doing theirs. The Fulani are doing theirs. The Ibariba are doing theirs. The Ibo are doing theirs. We are edged in on all sides.
We need people like him to put our enemies in check. Not to start destroying him.
Despite my dislike of BAT, I have not written any critique of him because of my understanding of Nigeria. He is one of the greatest kleptomaniacs in History. But that doesn’t mean he couldn’t still give us some positives in Yorubaland.
The others some of us are expecting to work with CSI, why must they work with him? Why must they wait for him to defend their fatherland? Are they serious at all? If they are ready to defend their fatherland, let them jump into the bushes. They don’t need CSI if they are serious!
CSI is a hero. And some of us recognize that. No amount of de-marketing of him would work any more. He almost lost his life for the sake of Yorubaland. He is a genuine patriot. He is courageous. Bold. And fearless.
All those who are showing off their PhDs and their chains of degrees, trying to discredit him as *illiterate* are lily-livered cowards. They are wimps and malingerers. *Kò se kò se, kò j’Olúrè se gbogbo.*
There are *EXISTENTIAL THREATS TO YORUBA LAND.* We should appreciate anyone trying to liberate and safeguard us. Not raising barmy and petty issues, lest we become slaves in our land.
All the so-called THREATS by the Nigerian Army is misguided and misleading. It is the irresponsibility of the Army or Armed Forces that caused the *civil war.* I hope they are not at it again.
The Nigerian Army that is incapable of taming ordinary Book Haram is now focusing on Yoruba, because we are trying to be safe and defend our land from murderers, arsonists, rapists, kidnappers and criminals.
I have no idea who is advising the Nigerian Army. They should be circumspect in the handling of current situation. They should not create a crisis that would threaten and destabilise the polity. Leave CSI alone and focus on the needed security for the land.
