Alternate Medicine practitioners in Ogun State have been advised to work within their scope of operation, and know the rudiments, as well as limitations of their job to prevent complications.
The Executive Secretary and Registrar of the state’s Alternate Medicine Board, Dr. Kafayat Lawal gave the advice on Tuesday during the graduation ceremony of Batch 19, African College of Traditional Medicine, Wasimi, Ewekoro Local Government Area of the state.
Lawal, represented by the Director, Administration and Supplies, Omotunde Olasinyan, said the Board had embarked on the registration and training of practitioners to acquaint them with operational laws of the state, among others.
He stated that the Abiodun-led administration was aware of the roles and responsibilities of every area of its health system.
Speaking earlier, Proprietor, African College of Traditional Medicine, Chief Samson Soyoye, said creation of the Alternative Medicine Board by the state government was to develop practitioners in the field of traditional medicine.
He appreciated the present administration for creating the Board, and pledged the support of the college at all times.
Responding on behalf of other graduands, Mr. Amao Abdullah and Mrs. Odeyemi Titilayo, promised to uphold professionalism in the discharge of their duties.
