Davido took a break from the music scene and social media following the tragic demise of his son, Ifeanyi in October 2022.
He, however, made a brief return with his performance at the closing ceremony of the 2022 World Cup, but soon after he went on hiatus.
In other news, sensational singer, Simisola Kosoko better known as Simi, has expressed her displeasure with those defending the malpractices in the February 25 presidential election.
Simi, in a post shared on her Instastory, said she has lost respect for individuals who declared support for “people who do wicked things in daylight without fear of repercussion”.
It’s no news that the presidential election was very controversial with violence, rigging, disenfranchisement, and result manipulation reported in different polling units across the country.
Amid the controversy, INEC announced Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the winner of the election on March 1, declaring him the ‘President-elect of Nigeria’.
Reacting to this, Simi said she is not against people supporting their preferred candidate, but she is disappointed in those justifying the fraudulent acts perpetrated during the election.
The mother of one wrote,
“A lot of people have surprised me this election. Lost whatever respect many have had for them. X It’s my choice” is fair; but when people do wicked things in daylight without fear of repercussion, and you still support them, it serves you better to do it quietly. You’re not courageous, or brave, or strong in the face of adversity. You’re ignorant. And proud.”
