Governor Godwin Obaseki has approved the appointments of 38 Senior Special Assistants and 96 Special Assistants.

This was made known in a statement to Newspot on Thursday by the Secretary to the Edo State Government, Osarodion Ogie l.
The 134 appointees were drawn from nine local government areas across the state including Ikpoba-Okha, Owan East, Owan West, Orhionmwon, Ovia South-West, Akoko-Edo, Etsako-West, Etsako-Central and Etsako-East LGAs.
Meanwhile, Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri has submitted that the All Progressives Congress (APC) should be ready to taste the bitter pill of defeat in the 2023 general elections.
The Governor made the submission on Thursday in Yola, the state capital where he noted that the people of the state have lost confidence in APC and just as they voted for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2019, they will do it again in 2023.
Fintiri spoke when he played host to members of the state Forum of Councillors, stressing that the PDP will defeat all other parties including the APC when the election comes.
“We will teach APC a bad lesson, they will lose all elections from Presidency to councillorship levels,” Fintiri said, adding that in the state, he would work harder to earn the people’s confidence.
“I’m prepared to do more as the remaining 16 months is going to be the best,” Fintiri said
