Abia Warriors goalkeeper, Ali Ishaku has revealed the key to the team’s recent impressive performance.
Ishaku said that the confidence built in the player by head coach, Imama Amapakabo was the reason for their improved performance.
Abia Warriors have recorded three wins from their last four games in the league.
The Umuahia-based club are fifth on the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) table with 14 points.
“The coach has built confidence in the players and this has helped the team tremendously,” Ishaku told Abia Warriors media.
“The love and unity in the team have also played its part in our performance.”
Abia Warriors will battle with Heartland in an Oriental derby clash at the Umuahia Township Stadium on Sunday.
