In a now-trending post she made to X (Twitter) she revealed the industry expectations she was subjected to, the ethical conflicts, and her lack of personal fulfillment in her job.

She revealed how in order to excel in her line of work she was expected to secure clients through personal connection, with one of her colleagues advising her to engage in explicit her affairs to secure rich clients.

How pressured by family and friends she had entered the banking industry, but quickly found out that the lifestyle wasn’t for her. After spending years working there she finally decided to quit.

She wrote;

“This is not the sign to quit your job please, times are hard oooooo Why did I quit my job? Hmmm

1) Banking job is haram, no repackaging or sugar coating. I found out when I was already in it. So I had already had it in mind to leave, I just needed the best time.

2 I am not a routine person, I don’t like to be boxed doing the same thing everyday of my life. I dint get the flexibility I wanted and I couldn’t just continue.

3) I may consider sleeping with a rich man if he’s going to invest in my business heavily, but sleeping with customers just so you can bring in money for the bank sounds weird to me, esp knowing fully well you could still be laid off any day, I can’t do that, and trust me it’s very necessary to bringing big jobs unless you’re lucky which chances are very slim.

4) I was forced to take the job my families and friends, I never really liked it there to begin with

5) At some point, I wasn’t bringing any value to the organization, even tho many people told me to stay and keep collecting salary, I wasn’t just comfortable wasting my days there unproductive regardless of the money.

6) I already put my mind to what to do when I leave, and I had a strong conviction it was going to work out and it did. Finally, I left when t-pain was active, I was scared and unsure I won’t lie, my mum begged and begged knowing fully well we have nobody and everything it’s just on me, now imagine if business dint work, we go to suffer mehn. But no 1 reason on the list put my mind to rest that nothing bad go happen and if it does, it will just lesson learnt. So please, to those bookmarking, think it through thoroughly. PEACE”
