The former Secretary to Imo State Government, Barr. Uche Onyeagucha has said Nigeria needs courageous representatives to address the numerous challenges facing the country.
Onyeagucha said in recent years, Nigeria has been faced with problems of insecurity, a failed economy and secessionist agitations, stressing that such require representatives of courage and integrity to address.
The chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party stated this on Thursday while declaring his intention to run for the Owerri Senate seat.
While soliciting the support of the people of Owerri zone, he promised to provide a responsible and accountable representation to the zone.
The former member of the House of Representatives for Owerri federal constituency and a two-time governorship candidate in the state said Owerri zone and Ndigbo need a courageous voice.
Onyeagucha, in a declaration speech made available to Newspot, said his interest to run for the election is predicated on the need to provide a strong, effective and qualitative representation for the people of Imo East senatorial district and Ndigbo at large.
