Missing Almajiri boy, 9, reunites with parents in Nasarawa

The missing nine-year-old boy, Hassan Mallam Tsalha, has been reunited with his brother and teacher in Nasarawa State.

Newspot reported that police in Nasarawa State found the boy who is from Hadejia Local Government Area in Jigawa State and all efforts at the time to identify his family proved abortive.

However, following Newspot’s report, the Hadejia Emirate Association in Lafia intervened and reunited the boy with his teacher and brother in Lafia, Nasarawa State.

Further investigation revealed that the boy is from Kaugama Local Government in Jigawa State and was part of a group that was in Lafia for Quranic education (almajiri). When he found his circumstances uncomfortable, he escaped and trekked from Lafia to Hadejia, and got missing along the way.
