Daniel Bwala, ex-aide to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has described as troubling the report that bandits have reportedly taken over one of the biggest military training ground in the country.
The camp is located at Nagwamase Military Cantonment in Kontagora, headquarters of Kontagora Local Government Area of Niger State.
According to the report, the development had led to the sack of no fewer than 23 communities within the vicinity of the camp.
However, Bwala said the Ministers of defense need to sit up, suggesting there seems to be a capacity deficiency syndrome in the ministry.
He said it was unfortunate the incident happening despite President Bola Tinubu giving every support defense needs to fight insecurity.
In a post on his X handle on Wednesday, he said poor leadership coordination of the defense ministry is creating setbacks.
Bwala said: “If this story is true, then it is troubling. The president @officialABAT has been giving every support defense needs to fight insecurity, YET poor leadership coordination of the defense ministry is creating setbacks.
