Fans of Nigerian rapper, MI, defied the rain to attend the Trace Live Concert tagged, ‘The Guy’, in celebration of his latest album.
Held on Victoria Island, Lagos, the event was rich in music, excitement and fun as MI, assisted by the Alternate Sound band, dished out various hit songs from his music archives.
The audience went wild when the hype man for the event, Shody, introduced MI on stage. Clad in a white shirt and black suit, the rapper performed songs such as ‘Anoti’ and ‘Action Film’; as well songs from his new album.
The highpoint of the show was when MI brought in some choristers to perform with him on stage. The Jos-born entertainer noted that he was born into a music inclined family, adding that he making music in church.
There was also a session for fans of the rapper to ask him questions which he answered right there on stage.
A fan asked him what the most surprising thing about his new wife was. Responding, he said, “She has not lived in Lagos for a long time, so relocating was not easy (for her). She just settled in Lagos. So, every once in a while, she gets into her car and drives into the deepest parts of the state.”
