Chelsea have been linked with a move for the PSG superstar after he was excluded from a pre-season tour to Japan and South Korea.
Mbappe is the best player in Ligue 1 if not the world but Paris Saint-Germain made the decision to leave him at home as they believe he has already agreed to join Real Madrid on a free transfer next summer.
Unwilling to lose Mbappe on a free, PSG are now looking to sell the French World Cup winner this summer and have received a staggering bid from Saudi Arabia worth more than £250m.
Pochettino has great affection for his former club Paris Saint-Germain and his former player Mbappe and hopes they find the ‘best solution for both sides’.
Asked about Chelsea’s interest in the 24-year-old forward, Pochettino said: ‘In the past I was at Paris Saint-Germain and with Kylian so I need to be conscious that I cannot talk.
‘Everything you say about it is too much noise. It is a situation that is very delicate and one they need to fix in Paris with Kylian.
‘For our side I have nothing to say. We are working on our reality, our reality is different.
‘From my side, nothing to say, only to support them. I hope they find a solution for both sides. It is a club that I love, because I was a player, a captain and coach.
‘With Kylian we create a very good relationship, I hope they can find the best solution for both sides.’
Mbappe has scored 212 goals in 260 games for PSG since joining the the French champions in a £166m move from Monaco in 2017.
He has made it clear he will not sign a new contract in Paris, however, resulting in the club attempting to offload him in order to prevent losing one of the best players on the planet for free.
Al-Hilal have made a staggering world record bid of £259m for Mbappe, who could now join the Saudi Arabian side for one season before signing for Real Madrid in 12 months’ time.
