The 29-year-old was forced out of the final during extra-time on Sunday, replaced by Ibrahima Konate just seven minutes before the clash went to penalties, where Argentina beat his France side.
Manchester United return to domestic action on Wednesday in the League Cup against Burnley before facing Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on 27 December and there were concerns over what happened to the central defender.
However, the Manchester Evening News report that he was not injured, just so fatigued by the end of the World Cup final that he had to be replaced.
Varane started six of France’s seven games in Qatar, recovering from an ankle injury that was bothering him before the tournament, then overcoming illness that he was suffering ahead of the final.
It appeared that it all caught up with him late on in the final as he collapsed to the floor before being taken off.
Even if Varane had come through the World Cup final unscathed he would not have been called upon against Burnley on Wednesday or aainst Forest next week, although he may well be available again when the Red Devils travel to Wolverhampton Wanderers on 31 December.
Lisandro Martinez will also be expecting some time off after reaching the final with Argentina, meaning Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof will likely partner up again for United.
