Manchester United have shortlisted Thomas Tuchel as a candidate to replace Erik ten Hag this summer.
The Dutchman is under intense pressure at Old Trafford, and INEOS are expected to make a decision on his future at the end of the campaign.
Ten Hag has 18 months to run on his existing deal, with Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his team keen to keep him in place until at least the summer.
But, with the likes of Liverpool and Barcelona on the hunt for a new manager, United must act quick if they’re to replace Ten Hag.
Tuchel only joined Bayern last season but he’s under pressure at the Allianz Arena, with his side two points behind Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga.
The German’s taken criticism from former Bayern players, who haven’t been impressed by the style of play implemented by Tuchel.
The former Chelsea boss was heralded during his time in England, and there was widespread shock at Todd Boehly’s decision to sack him.
Tuchel is keen on returning to England if he’s sacked by Bayern and the Telegraph say United would be keen on appointing him.
A chain of events would need to occur in order for Tuchel to be appointed at Old Trafford but INEOS will move quickly this summer if a top candidate is available.
