A young man, identified as Madivi Sathibabu, has tied the knot with two women who had children for him at a ceremony in India.
Sathibabu, from Erraboru village in Cherla Mandal, married the women, Sunitha and Swapna, in a traditional ceremony that was attended by the families of both brides.
According to the Times of India, Sathibabu and Swapna have been lovers since their school days, and a girl was born out of wedlock during a live-in relationship.
Around the same time, Sathibabu was dating Sunitha, a family member from the Karnepalli village, with whom he had a son.
Swapna, who’s said to be Sathibabu’s first love, initially objected to her fiancé’s move to marry another woman, but the matter was resolved after he declared to marry both of them.
“Sathibabu’s first love, Swapna, objected to the move of her fiancé to marry another woman, but the matter was resolved after he declared to marry both ladies. Parents of the women too had no objection and decided to go ahead with the rituals,” a village elder said.
