Sancho has been frozen out of the first team following a bust-up with Erik ten Hag over his effort levels in training.
The 23-year-old publicly accused Ten Hag of making him a ‘scapegoat’ following United’s 3-1 defeat to Arsenal in September and has not been included in the first-team squad since.
Sancho has been training away from United’s senior players at the training ground and the winger now appears to be heading for the exit door in the January transfer window.
According to The Sun, the chances of a possible reconciliation with Ten Hag look even more slim as Sancho has now been removed from a WhatsApp group which provides key information to the first-team squad.
It’s understood that several United players have urged Sancho to apologise to Ten Hag, which could pave his way back into the first-team squad.
However, Sancho is yet to make an apology to the United manager and does not appear to be reconsidering his position.
Borussia Dortmund have been keeping tabs on Sancho’s situation ahead of a potential move in January, while the winger has also been linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League.
United look set to take a significant hit on Sancho, who they signed in a £73 million deal from Dortmund in 2021.
