Erik ten Hag remains without a number of his Manchester United players for their FA Cup semi-final with their injury list growing for the showdown against Coventry City on Sunday.
United were dealt a major blow on Saturday after it emerged Mason Mount, Sofyan Amrabat and Willy Kambwala will all miss today’s clash through injury.
United are already beset by injury problems at the back with Tyrell Malacia, Luke Shaw, Lisandro Martinez, Victor Lindelof, Jonny Evans and Raphael Varane all unavailable.
A shortage of options has seen Kambwala join Harry Maguire at the heart of defence with the 19-year-old starting United’s last two games. His absence leaves Maguire as United’s only available options with Casemiro in contention to drop back and partner him in defence.
Antony missed that trip to Bournemouth last weekend with United this week denying rumours that absence had stemmed from a falling out with ten Hag.
The club have said the Brazil international missed out with a minor injury with Antony pictured back in training on Tuesday, available for selection today.
Alejandro Garnacho, hauled off at half-time in that 2-2 draw, was also pictured at Carrington after his post-match social media activity following that game came under the spotlight.
The incident has been dealt with internally with ten Hag believed to have addressed the matter with his player personally.
Scott McTominay meanwhile has missed United’s last two games after suffering a knee injury in the defeat to Chelsea.
The Scotland international was close to making the squad last weekend and will be part of the squad today.
With Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka the only fit full-backs in the squad, Harry Amass and Habeeb Ogunneye have been named in matchday squads in recent weeks with Ethan Wheatley joining them on the bench against Bournemouth.
The striker recently netted a hat-trick for the Under-18s in the 9-1 thrashing of Liverpool and with Anthony Martial still sidelined, could potentially be in line for some first-team minutes before the season is out.
Amass, Ogunneye and Wheatley all continued to train with the first-team this week ahead of Sunday’s trip to Wembley.
