Paul Pogba did not look too amused as Michail Antonio joked around with Bruno Fernandes over the Manchester United star’s handball in Wednesday’s draw against West Ham.

The Red Devils will have to wait until the final day of the Premier League season to secure their place in the top four, having surprisingly been held to a 1-1 draw by the Hammers – who secured their own safety in the process.

West Ham took the lead in the match just before half-time after Pogba lifted up both his arms and practically saved Declan Rice’s long-range effort.

The referee initially stopped play believing Pogba had been hit in the face by the ball, though upon closer inspection by VAR it was clear that the Frenchman had handled inside the box.

Antonio, who is not usually West Ham’s penalty taker but has been in sensational scoring form recently, stepped up and dispatched the spot-kick in the second minute of added time.

When the players returned after the half-time break, Antonio was seen chatting to Fernandes about the incident, even impersonating Pogba’s handball, with both players laughing.

But Pogba was caught on camera just behind the pair looking very unimpressed by Antonio, staring down the West Ham star just before kick-off in the second half.

United did fight back in the game, however, to earn a point that moves them up into third place in the table on goal difference, with teenager Mason Greenwood once again getting on the score sheet.

Gary Neville did not hold back in his appraisal of Pogba during commentary for Sky Sports, saying at the time: ‘He’s in trouble, Paul Pogba, he’s in big, big trouble. He’s given a penalty away, he’s put his arms up and pretended it’s hit his head.

‘Rubbish, rubbish from him. To think, I felt a little bit sorry for him, I thought he took a whack in the head. Embarrassing. You don’t do that, you take it in the grid.’
