The Dutchman enjoyed an impressive debut campaign at Old Trafford by returning United to the top four and ending their six-year trophy drought.
Ten Hag’s arrival has been instrumental in the turnaround of Rashford’s United career, with the forward hitting 30 goals last term.
Since making his debut in 2016, Rashford has played under five different managers.
Though he excelled at the start of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s reign, it wasn’t until Ten Hag’s appointment that Rashford has developed into the player that many hoped he would.
And Rashford says the Dutchman’s focus on winning trophies – not simply making the top four – separates him from the rest of the managers he’s worked with.
‘We gave it everything and let ourselves down in the Europa League, and in the Premier League there was a period where we weren’t defending as well and stopped scoring as many goals as we were – that’s something he’ll [Erik ten Hag] want to address.
‘We’d always bounce back from disappointing results, there is no lower point than when you go to rival teams and concede four, five, six goals, you have to find the positives, and in the games after, we always had a good performance and won.’
