Reports on Monday night claimed United were looking at an emergency move for the former Aston Villa winger.
He left PSV Eindhoven at the end of last season, and is now a free agent.
The Dutch winger was present at the Emirates for United’s 3-1 defeat to Arsenal before the international break.
Jadon Sancho was left out of the squad to face the Gunners and he sensationally hit out at Erik ten Hag after the match by essentially accusing the Dutchman of lying about his reasons for leaving him out.
Added to that, Antony is on a leave of absence after allegations against the winger in his native Brazil.
But United have rejected the chance to sign El Ghazi on an emergency short-term deal, as Ten Hag is happy with his options.
While there’s doubts over Sancho’s future, United have Fecundo Pellestri and Alejandro Garnacho in the wings.
Both Mason Mount and Bruno Fernandes can play on the flank, while Amad Diallo is a specialist right-winger and can slot in when he returns from injury.
