The 24-year-old is yet to feature for United this season and Diogo Dalot has now established himself as Erik ten Hag’s first-choice option at right-back.
United signed Wan-Bissaka in a £50 million deal from Crystal Palace in 2019 but the club are now ready to cut their losses and let the defender return to Selhurst Park in the next transfer window.
According to The Sun, Palace are interested in re-signing Wan-Bissaka but the south London club can only afford a loan deal.
The report also claims that Wan-Bissaka is keen to determine his long-term future, which could complicate United’s agreement with Palace.
Elsewhere, United are also in the market for a new striker as they prepare for Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure.
The 37-year-old is still looking to leave Old Trafford in January, although he may have to wait until his contract expires at the end of the season.
Red Bull Salzburg striker Benjamin Sesko is on United’s shortlist, although he has already agreed to join RB Leipzig next summer.
Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, who Arsenal failed to sign towards the end of last year, is also on United’s radar with the Serie A club potentially missing out on a place in next season’s Champions League.
