Operatives of the Bauchi State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, have arrested a 20-year-old resident of Misau LGA for allegedly raping a 12-year-old girl.
The suspect, Ibrahim Sadiq was arrested after he allegedly lured the victim to an uncompleted building and forcefully had carnal knowledge of the young girl.
In a press statement confirming his arrest, the command’s spokesman Saminu J Yusuf disclosed that Sadiq was arrested by personnel of the agency in Misau on 27th December 2024.
“On 27th DEC, 2024 at Misau Local Government, One Ibrahim Saudiq, Male 20 yrs of Misau, was arrested By NSCDC Personnel, for having forcefully carnal knowledge of A 12 yrs old in uncompleted building”.
The spokesman said the suspect had, upon interrogation, confessed to having committed the crime, noting that the command would soon prosecute him pending the conclusion of investigation.
