Liverpool have made contact with Fiorentina as they explore a move for midfielder Sofyan Amrabat, according to reports in Italy.

The Morocco international has been linked with a move to either Manchester United or Saudi Arabia all summer, with Amrabat reportedly keen on a switch to Old Trafford.
However, the Red Devils have not been able to get a deal done, still trying to sell some players to rustle up the funds to reinvest in the squad.
Sky in Italy report that Liverpool are looking to take advantage of the situation and have held talks with Fiorentina to try and beat their fierce rivals to one of their key targets.
The Reds are in desperate need of someone who can play in the holding midfield role after Fabinho’s departure for Saudi Arabia this summer.
They have failed in moves for Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia, with both players choosing to join Chelsea over Liverpool as they departed Brighton and Southampton respectively.
After losing out on those two targets to Premier League rivals, Liverpool are now looking to do the same to Manchester United.
The Merseysiders had seen huge bids of £111m for Caicedo and £60m for Lavia accepted but the players rejected the moves, so Fiorentina will be aware of how desperate they are for a midfielder and what they are willing to spend. Amrabat will not be cheap.
