Professor Siyanbola that passed on in the early hours of Monday 26 June in London was a man who had mentored young ones that are now occupying positions of higher responsibilities in Nigeria and abroad.
Family source said he breathed his last surrounded by his wife and his children.

As part of DAWN Commission’s drive to attract sustainable investment into critical sectors in the Southwest Region of Nigeria, the DAWN team embarked on a working visit to Prof. Siyanbola Malomo, and Mr Akanbi in Abuja on April 4 2019 in preparation towards maiden edition of the Western Nigeria Investment Summit, WNIS.
During the course of the discussion, Prof. Malomo acknowledged the vital role played by the Commission as a public face in restructuring the Region. He expressed his delight in the intervention of DAWN Commission in organising an Investment Summit to provide an enabling environment for Investors to bring investment into each State across Western Nigeria and a platform for the State Government to showcase its investment opportunities to potential Investors.
He implored the Commission to adopt appropriate strategies in attracting the right kind of investors into the Region, one of which include projecting the Southwest Region as the most peaceful region in Nigeria. He also advised that proposed Investment Summit should be targeted at yielding necessary outcomes and not outputs for the Region at large.
Conclusively, he pledged his unflinching support to the Commission in ensuring the success of the Summit by providing technical expertise on matters relating to Solid mineral and mining sector.
