The remains of the late Bishop Solomon Gbetogo Kuponu of the Diocese of Ijebu North Ogun State of the Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion will be interred on 19 April 2024.
The Archbishop Metropolitan and Primate of all Nigeria Most Revd Henry Ndukuba made the announcement at the end of the Consecration service of four new Bishops at the Cathedral Church of Our Saviour Ijebu-Ode Ogun State
Bishop Kuponu passed on to glory on 14 February 2024 in Lagos during a brief illness. He was aged 67.
He became the first bishop of Ijebu-North, He was ordained a priest in Lagos in September 1983, and consecrated bishop on September 11, 2005.
