Mbappe has scored five goals in four World Cup appearances and poses the biggest threat to England when the two meet in a huge quarter-final showdown on Saturday evening.
The Paris Saint-Germain star did not train with the rest of the squad on Tuesday, instead doing recovery work in the gym having carried a minor ankle problem earlier in the competition.
With his absence sparking fears the 23-year-old is struggling for fitness, Sky Sports report he is now back in full training with the France squad.
Liverpool centre-half Konate has also cooled talk of an injury scare, insisting the possibility of him missing out has not been discussed at all in the French camp.
‘He preferred to stay indoors [on Tuesday], Konate told a press conference. ‘We are counting on him as on all the players in the group.
‘It was a little recovery session. The day before, we had a day off. I think he decided to stay indoors with the coach, there is nothing to worry about.’
Konate added: ‘He is incredibly impressive. But I am not surprised. He has been showing this level for years. He is getting better and better. I don’t know where he can stop.
‘What is impressive is his speed and tactical abilities. We are lucky he is on our team and not against us.’
Kyle Walker is likely to be tasked with keeping Mbappe quiet in one of the most compelling duels of the night on Saturday.
While the Frenchman has been one of the stars of the competition in Qatar, the Manchester City defender insists England will not ‘roll out the red carpet’.
‘He’s a great player in great form so it’s not going to be an easy task. But as a professional you want to play against the best players and he is one of the best players in the world,’ Walker said on Wednesday.
‘Of course, I understand the focus and I understand what I need to do to stop him. It’s easier said than done but I don’t underestimate myself.
‘I’ve come up against some of the best players in the world but I have to treat it just as another game. You have to give him respect but not too much.
‘Yes it will be a tough game but a team cannot just be about one person. I’m not going to roll out a red carpet for him and tell him to score. It’s a World Cup, it’s do or die. I’m not going home so I’m not going to let him ruin that for my family.’
