Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has claimed the State Government has a cordial working relationship with all the security agencies operating in the state.
Governor Radda hinted at this when he hosted four gallant police officers from the state command who bagged the special award from the Inspector General of Police for excelling in the fight against insecurity in the state.
The Katsina Governor observed that all the security personnel had been very supportive in the fight against insecurity, adding that the state government is proud of their dedication and sacrifice.
He said the State Government is collaborating with them in the fight against the menace affecting the state and the country at large.
Governor Radda assured them that the state government would continue to collaborate and partner with the security agencies in achieving the set goals.
He then announced a reward of N5.5 million to the four officers in appreciation of their outstanding performance leading to the Inspector General’s award.
According to him, the Chief Superintendent would get N2 million, the Superintendent would get N1.5 million, and the two other Assistant Superintendents of Police would receive N1 million naira each.
Earlier, the State Commissioner of Police, CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa, said they were at the Governor’s House to present the four police officers awarded the Inspector General’s award for their outstanding performance in the fight against insecurity in the state.
The Police Commissioner named the four awardees as CSP Andrew Alphonsus, SP Ibrahim Garba, and Assistant Superintendents of Police Awal Kabir and Iro Shuaibu.
The Police Commissioner said the award was introduced by the Inspector General of Police to motivate police personnel in the country.
