Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has made new appointments and redeployed some heads of agencies and special advisers in the state.
A statement issued by the Governor’s Spokesperson, Mr Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, on Sunday, said the newly appointed individuals include renowned public health expert and haematologist, Dr Ibrahim Musa of Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, AKTH, and popular Kannywood actor, Sani Musa Danja.”
The statement said the newly appointed officials along with their assigned portfolios are Dr Ibrahim Musa – Special Adviser, Health Services, and Personal Physician to the Governor, Dr Hadiza Lawan Ahmad – Special Adviser, Investment and Public-Private Partnership and Sani Musa Danja – Special Adviser, Youth and Sports.
Other appointed officials according to the statement are, Aminu Hussain – Special Adviser, Justice/Constitutional Matters, Dr Ismail Lawan Suleiman – Special Adviser, Population, Nasiru Isa Jarma – Special Adviser, NGOs and Wada Ibrahim Daho – Permanent Commissioner I, SUBEB,
The rest are Ado Danjummai Wudil – Executive Secretary, Guidance and Counselling Board, Dr Binta Abubakar – Executive Secretary, Agency for Mass Education, Abubakar Ahmad Bichi – Director General, Cottage and Street Hawking Agency, Abdullahi Yaryasa – Member, Assembly Service Commission and Dr. Yusuf Ya’u Gambo – Executive Chairman, Strategic Governance and Policy Coordination.
The statement further explained that the Governor has also reassigned Kabiru Getso Haruna – Executive Secretary, State Scholarship Board, Rabi’u Saleh Gwarzo – Executive Secretary, Kano State Senior Secondary Schools Management Board (KSSSSMB) and Dr. Kabiru Ado Zakirai – Executive Secretary, Kano State Library Board.

The statement said that the appointments and reassignments take immediate effect.
