Kano APC gov candidate meets stakeholders in Abuja

In continuation of his engagements with diverse groups, the Kano State Deputy Governor and All Progressives Congress governorship candidate, Nasiru Gawuna, on Tuesday met with the state stakeholders based in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

During the Town Hall Meeting held at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, Gawuna assured that his administration would not disappoint the electorate in providing inclusive leadership for the state.

The event was organised by the Directorate of Stakeholders Management of Gawuna’s campaign council.

He said, “I want us to come together and join hands to develop Kano to greater heights.”

He reiterated his commitment to enhancing healthcare delivery by strengthening the Primary Health Care Centres.

Also, he promised to continue the construction, renovation, and improvement of school infrastructure, as well as the provision of instructional materials and sustenance of the training of teachers on modern educational management toward equipping them for the overall educational advancement of the system.

He pointed out that if elected as governor, his administration would ensure the effectiveness of the civil service, agriculture, environment, and youths and women empowerment.

In addition, the APC governorship flagbearer appreciated Abuja-based Kano indigenes’ support and cooperation towards his emergence as the Kano APC governorship candidate.

In his speech, the Chairman of the occasion, Munzali Jibril, described Gawuna as humble and unpretentious.

He said, “I have tremendous respect for Dr. Gawuna because he reflects and exhibits the good moral upbringing he inherited from his family.

“This consultation with Kano community about his plans and programmes is a clear demonstration of his vision for the development of the State, therefore, I want to assure you of our support. We are solidly behind you.”
