The National Youth Wing of the Southern Kaduna People’s Union (SOKAPU) has called on youths in Kaduna State to come out en masse and vote credible leaders into power in all the 23 local government elections on Saturday, September 4.
Comrade John Isaac, National Youth Leader of the Youth Wing of SOKAPU, in a statement called on all hard working and peace loving youths of Southern Kaduna to go out en masse and be part of the elections by casting their votes in accordance with their choices.
According to him, “Now that the Local Government Elections are here, the National Youth Wing of the Southern Kaduna People’s Union (SOKAPU) is calling on all hard working and peace loving youths of Southern Kaduna to go out in mass and be part of the elections by casting their votes in accordance with their choices.”
He noted that the election is not a do or die affair, neither is it an end in itself, rather a means to an end and, therefore, called on politicians to conduct themselves in an orderly manner for the peaceful conduct of the programme.
He charged, “We must therefore partake in the coming elections with open minds setting aside party affiliations and looking at the candidates and their capabilities, also bearing in mind the facts that members of all political parties are members of our immediate communities, families and deserve our individual respects and protection against violence and intimidation.”
He added, “We are once again urging all Southern Kaduna youths to go out come Saturday, 4th September, 2021 to cast their votes.”
Comrade John Isaac urged all those going to cast votes to be vigilant and conscious of their environment to avoid anything that could endanger their lives.
