Liverpool moved back to two points clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table as goals from Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez sealed the victory against Burnley at Anfield.
The win was key for Liverpool following their 3-1 defeat away to title rivals Arsenal last Sunday and Klopp celebrated his side’s three points by fist-pumping towards three separate sections of the Anfield crowd.
However, Klopp’s celebrations did not escape the attentions of Arsenal supporters on social media, who urged the Liverpool manager to ‘get down the tunnel’ after the win against relegation candidates Burnley.
Arsenal fans have been staunchly defending Mikel Arteta this week after the Spaniard attracted criticism for his celebrations during the win over Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium last weekend.
‘Just get down the tunnel, you’ve won a game,’ Carragher said in the aftermath of Liverpool’s defeat to Arsenal/
‘It’s three points, you’ve been brilliant you are back in the title race, get back down the tunnel. I am serious – honestly.’
Meanwhile, beIN Sports host Richard Keys urged Arteta to show ‘more dignity’ during Arsenal’s celebrations.
‘I do wish, first of all, that Mikel Arteta would behave much better. He’s returned to behaving the way he was persistently last year before the rules were changed to check him and keep him in his dugout,’ Keys said.
‘I just wish he’d have a little more class about him when Liverpool handed them the second goal, and the third one, off he goes again.
‘If you stick one in the top corner to go 2-1 up, OK, but that’s a gift.
‘I just think Arteta needs to show a little more dignity, especially when the goals were presents.’
