Nigerian chef Hilda Baci, who recently broke the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking time for an individual, has finally received her record plaque.
Taking to her Instagram page on Monday afternoon, June 19, the elated chef shared a video capturing the moment she received the plaque.
In the video, an ecstatic Hilda screamed with joy as the delivery guy handed her the plaque. However, she refrained from opening it, hinting at an official unboxing.
Sharing the video on her Instagram page, she captioned it, “Our plaque is here 😆😆😆😆 @guinnessworldrecords.”

Guinness World Records on Tuesday, June 13 officially confirmed Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci, as the record holder for the longest cooking time by an individual with a record time of 93 hours and 11 minutes.
The 26-year-old chef from Akwa Ibom state embarked on a non-stop cooking marathon in May 2023, cooking for a total of 100 hours. This surpassed the previous record held by Indian chef Lata Tondon, who cooked for 87 hours and 45 minutes.
Confirming Hilda’s record, Guinness World Records released a statement on its website stating,
“Following a thorough review of all the evidence, Guinness World Records can now confirm that Hilda Effiong Bassey, better known as Hilda Baci, has officially broken the record for the longest cooking marathon (individual), with a time of 93 hours 11 minutes.”
