Role Overview:
We are looking for an exceptional Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our rapidly scaling team and focus on the recruitment and selection of talent into our business across all departments.
Your mission will be to source, screen and provide shortlists of qualified applicants for various roles. In addition to this, you will promote Kuda’s employer brand by networking with potential candidates using online/offline channels to ensure that we attract talented professionals and reduce time-to-hire.
The ultimate goal is to ensure that we build a strong talent pipeline and employer brand to ensure that we are able to satisfy current as well as future hiring needs. You will be joining us at an exciting time of growth and transformation, and your role will have a direct impact in shaping the workforce and success of Kuda.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Work with Hiring Managers to write and post job descriptions
- Source potential candidates, including from niche platforms, like Stack Overflow and GitHub
- Perform pre-screening calls to analyse applicants’ abilities
- Interview candidates combining various methods (e.g. structured interviews, technical assessments and behavioural questions)
- Coordinate with team leaders to forecast department goals and hiring needs
- Craft and send personalised recruiting emails with current job openings to passive candidates
- Participate in conferences and meetups to network with professionals and promote the Kuda Employer Brand
- Efficiently manage all stages of the recruitment pipeline and report on all candidate interactions through our ATS, Workable
- Onboard new hires
- Promote the company’s reputation as a great place to work
- Conduct job and task analyses to document job duties and requirements
- Keep up-to-date with new technological trends and products
Requirements:
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist and a strong track record of placing top talent
- Experience of recruiting for roles covering Africa would be advantageous
- Technical expertise with an ability to understand and explain job requirements for technical and non-technical roles
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and resume databases
- Solid knowledge of sourcing techniques (e.g. social media recruiting and Boolean search)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Solid understanding of HR practices and labor legislations
- Proactive and get-things-done mindset
