The team you would join:
Sun King’s Marketing team strategies, designs, and implements campaigns, communications, and brand activations to promote the sale of solar-powered home energy solutions through the company’s “EasyBuy” direct-to-consumer (B2C) and distribution partnership (B2C) channels. Working through more than 15,000 commission sales agents, 250+ Sun King branded retail shops, hundreds of rural retailers, and more than 100 wholesale distributors.
The Marketing team works hand in hand with the company’s in-house Creative team, the Direct Sales and Distribution Partnerships teams, Finance, and Operations to execute below- and above- the line marketing activities, corporate communications, and brand promotion to drive sales and maintain its top spot in the market.
About the role:
Join Sun King as our Social Media Manager. Harnessing a unique blend of strategy, customer care, analytics, and sales acumen, you will optimize our digital channels, bridging sales and marketing for optimal sales prospects and conversion. Overseeing social media for all West and Central Africa pages and platforms with a focus on sales, customer care and coordination.
What you would be expected to do:
- Manage social media budget allocation and paid-for advertising strategy.
- Assess and adjust social media content strategies to enhance engagement and sales generation.
- Manage a team of social media call centre executives to deliver top-tier customer service for timely customer resolution.
- Foster real-time interaction with our audience across social channels, maintaining a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Monitor user-generated content for potential threats and alert the Customer Service team.
- Participate in sales/planning calls to gauge social media impact and offer valuable feedback.
- Refine existing social channels for up-to-date customer service.
- Liaise between social platforms and Customer Care, ensuring all mentions of Sun King are promptly and aptly addressed.
- Work with various departments for seamless prospect handling and conversion.
- Work and liaise with various departments to ensure that there is sufficient customer care support to enable prompt sales capture from social media enquiries.
- Coordinate with communications, customer care, and sales teams to align strategies, manage budgets, and optimize prospective sales conversion.
- Produce reports highlighting revenue, prospective sales conversion, and other vital metrics as well as social media analytics on reach, engagement, page growth, and other relevant statistics.
- Engage customers on social posts, transforming interactions into sales opportunities and guiding them to the right care channels.
- Jointly oversee the tasks of the Nigerian social media content gatherer, aligning their efforts with our sales goals.
You might be a strong candidate if you
- Have Minimum of 5 years of experience in Social Media sales.
- Have proven experience in social media advertising.
- Have good working knowledge of CRM tools.
- Work well with teams across various departments.
- Have good experience using social media analytics tools.
- Have excellent written English communication with a knack for clarity.
- Have solid background in social media management with an emphasis on sales prospects generation and conversion.
- Are adept at working in multicultural environments, liaising with a spectrum of professional backgrounds.
- Have experience in managing remote teams, navigating regional nuances in a global setting.
- Have previous Customer Service experience.
- Have In-depth knowledge of major social platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, preferably in a business context.
- Have Stellar copywriting skills.
