Job description: Job Description:Our client is one of the largest firm of estate surveyors and valuers in Nigeria and across Sub-Saharan Africa.Job SummaryWe are looking for a Facilities Manager who oversees various aspects of safety, talent management, risk mitigation, equipment maintenance, customer relations, environmental programs, financial planning, staffing, communication, and contractual compliance.Key Responsibilities

• Commitment to safety excellence, demonstrates behaviors that drive safety;

• Assists the Facilities Director in talent succession planning;

• Minimize commercial risk to the business;

• Orders consumables, maintains and uses capital equipment efficiently;

• Ensure customer focus within all areas of operational activities and maintenance of effective relationships with key client contacts;

• Ensure that facility management staff consistently provides positive and prompt response to requests from the client and building tenants/occupants;

• Lead and implement all environmental programs and initiatives as well as audits;

• Develop financial plans and specific goals for cost control/reduction and ensure that these goals are met or exceeded;

• Manages a team consisting of Facility Managers, HVAC Technicians, mechanics and helpers;

• Develop and maintain relationships with facility team leaders driving the operational and strategic goals;

• Develop, prepare and explain the annual facility budget, quarterly forecasts, and business plans;

• Ensure optimum staffing structures operate across the portfolio to balance coverage and performance needs with the delivery of service excellence;

• Drives a positive work environment and utilize effective communication skills;

• Ensure SLAs & KPIs are achieved and aligned with contractual agreements

• Establishes and maintains effective communications with our customers, tenants and subcontractors.

Requirements

• 1st degree in Electrical Engineering

• 10-12 years experience Facility Management

• Experience managing an A-grade Commercial property.

• COREN, IFMA certification

• Excellent communication skills

• Looks professional and presentable.

• Strong knowledge of real estate market and industry

• Sociable and confidential

• Excellent relationship management skills

• Knowledge of Microsoft office tools

• Ability to engage c suite stakeholders.

• Experience managing multi-tenanted commercial buildings is crucial (high rise).
