Job Description
- A plastics manufacturing company in Lagos, Nigeria is looking to hire a Sales Officer whowill be responsible for driving sales and revenue growth by developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients and identifying and acquiring new customers.
- The role requires a driven individual who is also a confident communicator and excellent negotiator capable of functioning superbly within a team.
Responsibilities
- Implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to maximize customer satisfaction and retention.
- Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and stay updated on industry trends.
- Follow up on sales inquiries, leads generated, and convert them into sales.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to potential clients.
- Provide exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Analyze market data and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product improvement or development.
- Provide regular reports and updates on market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations and standards.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales-related expenses.
- Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and budgets.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of sales targets and budgets.
- Regularly communicate with customers to understand their needs and address any concerns.
- Coordinate with the production and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Proactively resolve any customer issues or complaints in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular customer satisfaction surveys and analyze feedback to improve service quality.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
- Coordinate with the finance department for order processing, invoicing, and payment collection.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- 2 yrs+ of Experience in the plastics manufacturing industry in the sales or distribution departments
- Excellent communication, sales and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of the industry and market trends.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of plastics manufacturing processes and products
- Proficiency in using CRM software and data analysis tools.
