Job description: We are looking for a talented Sales Manager, who has in-depth knowledge and experience with the sales process, excels at lead generation, relationship building, and closing deals to meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth targets.As the Small Business Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the sales team focused on Small Businesses (< 20 employees). You will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth, developing strategic partnerships, and ensuring the team meets or exceeds sales targets. This position requires an understanding of the health insurance industry, strong leadership skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with SME clients.Key ResponsibilitiesSales Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue goals.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities by establishing and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop effective sales strategies and campaigns.

Team Leadership:

  • Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team.
  • Set clear individual and team sales targets, monitor performance, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure targets are met.
  • Provide mentorship and training to ensure the team’s continuous improvement.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with SME clients to understand their needs and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Address client concerns and inquiries promptly to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Sales Performance Metrics:

  • Implement and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the sales team.
  • Analyze sales data and provide regular reports to senior management.
  • Develop and manage the sales department budget effectively, ensuring cost-effective use of resources to maximize profitability.

Sales Process Optimization:

  • Streamline and optimize the sales process to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Implement best practices and innovative approaches to enhance sales performance.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-7 years experience as a Sales Manager or in a similar role selling a product to SMEs in Nigeria.
  • Health insurance experience is a strong plus.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful sales strategies.
  • Quick learner with strong negotiating skills, and a track record of success, who can inspire the same in others.
  • Analytical and strategic thinking with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Familiarity with Zoho CRM software and sales performance metrics.
