Our client is a leading renowned grocery retail chain that provides a wide variety of items that cater for all income strata with outlets in several locations across Nigeria.

The Company is seeking to hire an experienced and resourceful Retail Store Manager to oversee the day-to-day operational activities and inventory of an outlet, while maximally applying the principles of economics to stay ahead of competitors.

Job Summary: As the Retail Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing employees and finances, and also controlling the quality of products and services offered to customers.

Achieve the store’s monthly/annual sales target.

Achieve margin for high grossing products.

Administration of Store, 3rd party businesses, etc.

Ensure the ambiance of the store is vivacious and conducive, good music, clean, engaging, orderly, etc.

Ensure zero stock out, right ordering, varieties, good inventory management-First In-First Out, etc.

Ensure customer complaints are reduced to the barest minimum.

Achieve the VD targets for brands and products.

Oversee the store’s operational costs such as Diesel, Power, Overheads, Production, etc.

Ensure preventable loss is minimal, and losses are accounted for accurately.

Ensure reports are timely & accurate.

Requirements

Key Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business administration, finance management, or a related field from a recognized University.

4+ years’ experience as a store manager or any supervisory role.

Proven experience with preparing budgets, and financial and expense reports.

Knowledge of product and consumer trends, marketing strategies, and how to utilize them.

Strong supervisory, interpersonal, and collaborative skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Punctuality & attendance, Demonstrates improvement efforts.

Keen attention to detail.

Must be analytical and comfortable reviewing data.

Proficiency in Excel required

Must be motivated, organized, and determined.

Proven ability to build collaborative relationships across cross-functional teams.

Must be results-driven, commercially aware, and have problem-solving abilities.

Must be able to juggle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.

Benefits

Compensation: Base pay is N250,000.00 monthly net plus other interesting benefits.
