Our Client, a reputable Hotel located in Lagos requires an Events Marketing and Sales Manager . He/She will oversee
developing activations and planning private events that will increase, revenue, develop and maintain
brand loyalty.
Job Responsibilities
- Development of a yearlong party calendar leveraging on key holidays to achieve revenue goals (Halloween, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve, Easter Sunday, Summer Parties etc).
- Develop the strategy for business development by identifying potential revenue opportunities to meet revenue goals.
- Leads and manages all day-to-day activities related to the sales function with a focus on building long-term.
- Develop and implement relevant promotions, and marketing strategies for the restaurant.
- Gather feedback from customers or prospects and share it with internal teams.
- Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs for the restaurant.
- Ensure the customer experience is in line with brand standards and expectations.
- Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and social media.
- Manage opportunity pipeline by collaborating with different stakeholders to drive opportunities to success.
- Develop and plan events that present key selling points, features, and benefits of the outlet while focusing on the customer needs and expectations.
- Generate leads through online and offline methods and already established network.
- Research and identify new companies or contacts and develop sales leads for the outlet.
- Develop relationships with and on-board corporate guests.
- Create corporate packages and modify according to corporate needs whilst maintaining brand standards.
- Network and manage relationships with key stakeholders across various platforms and industries, to boost business development activities.
- Lead initiatives end to end, working with cross-functional teams – Operations manager, social media, and operations team to optimize, execute and deliver successful events and activations.
- Continually promote the business and brand/services to ensure that the business is top-of- mind for customers and businesses.
- Ensuring chosen event themes are in line with brand standards.
- Prioritizing growth initiatives and developing strategic ways to seize these opportunities through events and branding/activation opportunities.
- Monitor, vet and approve all corporate communications including marketing materials that relate to events planned by the committee.
- Identifying key players on the nightlife and food scene and establishing relationships with them e.g., Celebrity chefs, influencers etc. to enhance event experiences.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with key vendors and sponsors.
- Brokering sponsorship and partnership agreements with liquor brands for events or activations.
Job Requirement
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in sales or public relations or events, preferably in the hospitality or travel industries.
- 1-3 Years work experience in hospitality or travel.
- Top Negotiation Skills.
- Industry standard grooming with good hygiene.
- The Ability to SELL.
- Professional attire always.
- Understanding of how online food platforms work.
- Good network and community.
- A strong foodie and lifestyle enthusiast.
- Strong Product knowledge and nightlife enthusiast.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
- Computer literacy.
- Strong numerical skills.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Resourceful and able to meet guest needs.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and multi-tasking skills.
- Strict attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing or relevant field required.
