Job description: Quality Assurance SpecialistCompany: Nestlé NigeriaLocation: Flowergate Factory, Sagamu, Ogun state.
Position Type: Full-Time
Minimum Educational Qualification: B.Sc./HND preferably food science related.Minimum Relevant Work Experience: Minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience in a technical role in a food manufacturing company.Position SummaryJoining Nestlé means you are joining the largest Food and Beverage company in the world. At our very core, we are a human company driven by our purpose to improve the quality of life and contribute to a healthier future.Nestlé Nigeria is currently looking to fill the position of a Quality Assurance Specialist, who will support the factory or PTC/R&D center in specific areas of expertise (e.g. food safety, HACCP, auditing, hygiene, pest control, chemical contaminants, microbiology food safety, sensory, thermal processing, statistical process control, net content management etc.).A day in the life of the Quality Assurance Specialist:People and know-how:

  • Promote quality awareness across the company. Contribute to competence development of quality professionals across the organisation.

System design:

  • Define and update the specific quality procedures, instruction and tools which are directly related to their area of concern.

Quality mastership:

  • Supports the Nestlé Continuous Excellence program in the quest for zero defect, including root cause analysis after incidents (or near misses) and DMAIC.
  • Supports activities to achieve compliance with the Nestlé Quality Management System requirements and other applicable instructions and standards.
  • Deliver training for their specific areas of expertise.

Quality auditing and verification:

  • In their specific area of expertise, assess that the Nestlé Quality Management System is in place, and is obtaining expected results in a given operating unit.

What Will Make You Successful?Academic Experience:

  • B.Sc./HND preferably food science related.

Operational Experience:Demonstrated competence in their specific field to support business requirements:

  • Team member in a factory: Quality, Production Support, Application Group, or team member in the quality department of the Market
  • Sound analytical capabilities and experience with Vendor auditing and approval will be an added advantage

Business Experience:Experience in successfully implementing quality assurance programs:

  • Participating in project teams
  • Leading part of a change effort
  • Participating in audit teams and/or improvement projects with more senior staff members
  • Establishing networks of peers, in markets or factories
