In 2021-22 we reached 650 million people.About the role:The Organisational Development Lead role is a new role for us in the British Council. The role will drive delivery of key initiatives across our businesses, addressing the biggest talent and organisational challenges, using enterprise frameworks developed by the People Experience teams to activate our Employee Value Proposition and desired culture.Appointed candidate will consult on and lead a variety of projects, sometimes simultaneously, spanning multiple People specialisms and business areas addressing the biggest talent and organisational development priorities. By applying design thinking, project delivery methodologies, People function subject matter and change management expertise they create sustainable impact.The British Council has recently undertaken a significant Transformation programme across all areas of the business, with departments across the organisation at varying stages of maturity in implementing and embedding their new operating models.The Talent and Organisational Development team (T&OD) exists to bring focus to the development of our people and organisation, partnering with leadership teams to build the diversity, future skills, capabilities, and ways of working we need so that we continue to renew and strengthen our global impact. It also has a significant role in the activation of our EVP (Employee Value Proposition) and in influencing our culture and the experience of working within the British Council through the work with leadership teams and colleagues in other People teams.The Organisational Development Lead works within a team of peers as part of the Organisational Development Practice team, consulting with People business partners, CoEs and organisation stakeholders to design and deliver solutions. This is a flexible and dynamic team, which can be deployed to projects based on the talent and organisation development challenges and opportunities that arise in the business. Members of the team work directly with People business partners, business leaders and CoE teams to hypothesize, test and build solutions to talent and organisation challenges and opportunities, using project management methodology and taking an agile approach. - University degree or equivalent professional experience
- Organisational development or design qualification / certification (desirable)
